CTTv Multiplex
Description
The CTTv Fluorescent STR System provides a rapid, non-radioactive method designed to
obtain a DNA type, or genetic fingerprint using very small amounts (e.g., 1ng) of
human DNA. The four STR loci that are included in this multiplex system, CSF1PO,
TPOX, TH01 and vWA, contain alleles of discrete and separable lengths. This allows
the construction of allelic ladders that contain fragments of the same length as
several or all known alleles for the locus. Visual comparison between the allelic
ladder and amplified samples of the same locus allows rapid and precise assignment
of alleles.
Features
Efficient:- Less than one day required for sample to data analysis. The CTTv Fluorescent STR
System allows simultaneous amplification of four STR loci (CSF1PO, TH01, TPOX and
vWA) for high discrimination power.
Convenient:- Results obtained using the CTTv Fluorescent STR System can be recorded in a digitized
format, allowing direct comparison with stored databases.
Sensitive:- Amplification of 1-25ng of genomic DNA.
Tolerant:- More tolerant of degraded DNA than other typing methods.
Precise:- Alleles are displayed at discrete and separable lengths.
Easy Transition:- Promega’s STR systems allow the customer to transition easily from a
silver system format to the fluorescence detection format of the
GenePrint® STR Systems, while using the same loci in each system.
