With sustainability, life on earth leads by example. Rainforests and ecosystems survive for thousands of years...an entire biosphere living through billions of years. Sustainability is a long standing accomplishment - an art. It can seem daunting, yet its whole exists through the success of individual living systems balancing each other – a tree in the rainforest, a cell in an organism. As business is a part of human culture, we are part of this ancient rhythm to continue or to interrupt. By raising awareness, we can consciously instill the principles of sustainability in our practices and our culture.

Promega's formal adoption of a Sustainability Program is earmarked with the 2008 Corporate Sustainability Report. It highlights our commitment to sustainability and identifies our goals as well as planned improvements. We recognize this is a process of continuous improvement and our focus is on long term improvement versus short term gain.
Sustainability is necessary to the advancement of society, protection of the environment, and ultimately it is the right thing to do.
