Ponds on campus are a part of a natural filtration device for rain waters.
  • Prairie Restoration Project – Promega supported numerous restoration projects that started nearly
    20 years ago.

Enviro Containers for subzero international shipping require less packing materials.
  • Energy Conservation – Energy efficient heating and cooling systems are incorporated whenever possible.

     

  • Efficient Use of Resources – Product packaging is designed and developed for minimum use of resources and materials. For large overseas shipments, Promega uses "Enviro Containers" which are reusable and reduce the use of disposable shipping boxes.

     

  • Waste Minimization – Promega practices minimization strategies designed to minimize waste streams, accidental discharges and use of hazardous goods.

Recycle: Reduce Impact on Landfills

Packaging
Promega uses recycled materials when ever possible for its packaging.
  • Internal Recycling Program – Processes are in place to encourage all staff to recycle paper, plastics, glass, aluminum, and cardboard.

     

  • Container Recycling Program – Often Styrofoam shipping containers include a return slip that allows scientists to return the containers for reuse free of charge.
