The Promega @cademy provides a tailored
programme of non-commercial live webinars,
covering a wide range of scientific topics, from
very basic concepts to highly technical research
presentations.
The title of this webinar is: "Stem Cell Line
Authentication and Contamination Detection".

This is a
Specialist webinar,
these webinars addresses more specialized
topics and are useful for PhD students and senior
scientists.
Information
Cell line
misidentification and contamination can have a profound effect on the
results generated by cell line research. The U.S. National Institutes of
Health recommends authenticating any cultured cells used in the laboratory.
To aid in cell line authentication, Promega has developed the StemElite' ID
System, a ten-locus multiplex PCR system that can be used to identify a
human stem cell line and to detect contamination from mouse feeder cells or
other human cell lines.
