The Promega @cademy provides a tailored
programme of non-commercial live webinars,
covering a wide range of scientific topics, from
very basic concepts to highly technical research
presentations.
The title of this webinar is: "Improved
Luciferase Reporter Assays for Nuclear Receptor
Function".

This is a
Specialist webinar,
these webinars addresses more specialized
topics and are useful for PhD students and senior
scientists.
Information
Nuclear receptors play important roles in many
cellular functions and are a large target class
for drug discovery. Luciferase reporter assays
are frequently used to study nuclear receptor
function because of their wide dynamic range,
low endogenous activity, and ease of use. Recent
improvements to pGL4 luciferase reporter vectors
have further enhanced its utility for research
and drug discovery. We report on the application
of pGL4 improvements to two reporter formats.
