The webinar "Luciferase Reporter Assays: Applications beyond promoter bashing" is a basic webinar. Basic webinars address the basics of specific topics and technologies. They are especially useful for students, technicians and junior scientists in general.

I discussed applications of reporter genes beyond routine promoter dissection including signaling pathway, nuclear receptor and protein interaction analysis with examples from the literature. I will also look at  luciferase-based technologies for rapid analysis of miRNA. Luciferase will be examined for its use in whole animal imaging applications.
