The Promega @cademy provides a tailored
programme of non-commercial live webinars,
covering a wide range of scientific topics, from
very basic concepts to highly technical research
presentations.
We would like to invite you for the free
webinar, which was held on Monday November 7, 2011. The title is:
"Mitochondrial
ToxGlo: A Predictive, Multiplexed Assay Method
for the Assessment of Mitochondrial Health ".

This is a
specialist webinar. Specialist webinars address
more specialized topics and are useful for PhD
students and senior scientists.
Abstract:
Mitochondrial health closely correlates with overall cellular health and
therefore is an important consideration in any drug development and safety
effort. Although elegant systems exist for measuring mitochondrial
dysfunction, the existing technologies are poorly accessible due to expense,
requisite instrumentation and consumables, and have low throughput. This
seminar will demonstrate a simple, rapid, sensitive, cost-effective and
predictive, cell-based multiplexed method to assess and triage potential
mitochondrial toxicities from large chemical libraries or medicinal
modification efforts .
